Company /Business/Personal Menu Nutrition Review

Company /Business/Personal Menu Nutrition Review

Whether you’re looking for help with your own meal planning, or want to provide healthier meals through your business or company’s menus, I can help by:

Assessment: I'll gather information about your health history, dietary preferences, and any specific dietary restrictions or goals. This helps me to understand your unique needs and tailor the review accordingly.

Nutritional Analysis: I will analyse the nutritional content of the menu items, considering factors such as macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats), micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), fibre, and overall calorie content.

Balance and Variety: I will evaluate the menu for balance and variety, ensuring it includes a range of food groups and provides a good mix of nutrients, appropriate portion sizes and the inclusion of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.

Special Considerations: If you have specific dietary requirements or restrictions (e.g., food allergies, intolerances, medical conditions), I will assess whether the menu accommodates those needs and suggests appropriate alternatives if necessary.

Recommendations: Based on the analysis, I will provide personalised recommendations to improve the menu's nutritional profile and alignment with the your individual goals. This may involve suggesting alternative ingredients, cooking methods, portion adjustments, or specific additions to enhance the nutrient content.

Follow-Up: A follow-up session is scheduled to monitor progress, answer questions, and provide ongoing support. This can help ensure that the menu remains aligned with your nutritional needs and goals over time.

It's important to note that a menu review conducted by a dietitian takes into account the individual's specific circumstances and can provide tailored guidance and recommendations.

NDIS participants

NDIS participants

As a dietitian, I specialise in working with individuals who have self-managed or plan-managed National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plans and require specific supports to enhance their health, well-being, and independence.

I offer a person-centred approach, meaning treatment will be tailored to your individual needs, preferences, and goals.

We offer comprehensive support for individuals of all ages, including adults, teenagers, and children, who are registered through the NDIS.

Regardless of the management type, our team is equipped to assist and provide the necessary services to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Persons with a disability may benefit from seeing a dietitian for several reasons:

Special Dietary Requirements: Some disabilities or medical conditions may necessitate specific dietary modifications. A dietitian can help develop a personalised nutrition plan that accommodates these requirements, ensuring optimal health and well-being.
Weight Management: Certain disabilities can impact an individual's mobility or physical activity level, which may contribute to weight management challenges. A dietitian can provide guidance on maintaining a healthy weight and offer strategies tailored to the individual's abilities and needs.
Nutrient Deficiencies: Individuals with disabilities may have a higher risk of nutrient deficiencies due to factors such as limited food choices, difficulty chewing or swallowing, or the need for specialised diets. A dietitian can assess their nutritional status, identify potential deficiencies, and recommend appropriate dietary adjustments or supplements.
Digestive Issues: Some disabilities are associated with gastrointestinal problems, such as difficulty with digestion or absorption of nutrients. A dietitian can help manage these issues through dietary modifications and recommend strategies to improve digestion and optimise nutrient absorption.
Meal Planning and Preparation: Disabilities may present challenges in meal planning and preparation, making it harder to maintain a balanced diet. A dietitian can provide practical guidance on meal planning, offer easy-to-prepare recipes, suggest adaptive cooking techniques, and recommend suitable kitchen tools or equipment.
Support for Caregivers: Dietitians can also offer guidance and support to caregivers of individuals with disabilities. They can provide information on nutrition-related aspects, assist with menu planning, and offer practical tips for ensuring adequate nutrition for the person they are caring for.

Overall, consulting with a dietitian can help individuals with disabilities optimise their nutrition, address specific dietary concerns, and improve their overall health and quality of life.

Pricing for these services aligns with the NDIS guidelines and will be outlined in the Service Agreement. Please note that additional charges may apply for travel, if applicable.
